At Gardners Ground we believe strongly in organic wine. Situated in the stunning natural surroundings of the New South Wales Central West, we are committed to producing quality organic wines at reasonable prices, without the use of artificial chemicals, or the overtaxing of soil and overuse of water.
The location of Gardners Ground was very carefully chosen over a decade ago for its soil and climate, in the belief that such decisions successfully remove the need for artificial fertilisers and excess irrigation. Whilst the annual rainfall is a respectable 580mm, the growing season is relatively dry, allowing the growing of robust Mediterranean crops that are more resistant to disease. Our organic wines consequently contain a higher concentration of beneficial antioxidants.
As an organic operation, Gardners Ground produces less wine than a commercial winery, however we remain committed to quality over quantity, and believe that this approach has led to superior grapes and vintages. And our lesser yield hasn’t stopped us from exporting! Currently, our organic wines are exported to Japan under the Hawkwind label.
So whether you prefer a robust Shiraz, a lightly wooded Chardonnay, or a full and flavoursome Merlot, our catalogue of organic wines is sure to meet your tastes. All our organic wines are available for purchase online.
